| A very fine large porcelain vase with foliated rim and decorated with flowers and splashes of gold, on a creamy white crackled ground. Made by Kanzan Denshichi and signed on the bottom Dai Nippon Kanzan sei. Notice the short glaze cracks radiating from the foot, all else in excellent condition. Kanzan Denshichi was a famous Kyoto potter, and his work is represented in a number of museums. This vase was bought in Yokohama in 1954 by a Capt. Joseph Natali from S. Kaneko who dated it 1894. 17"(43.3cm)high. | ||
