A large Vienna porcelain saucer with finely burnished gilding decorated with a border of alternating tridents and halberds surrounding a ten-pointed star. Underglaze blue shield mark to the reverse with Pressnummer 59 and date code for 1806. Diameter: 7 3/8 in. Early 19th century.

A kabuki print by Utagawa Kunisada c. 1830. Dimensions: 14 ¾ x 10 in.

The art-name is Gototei used by Kunisada up until 1844. The print has lost its frame, but has been mounted with care from the top edge only. Some wear to the edges and a little grubby, but no damages or repairs.

A good quality Japanese makie lacquer basin, on three low feet and decorated in hiramakie with scattered kiku blooms on a roironuri ground. Diameter: 6 7/8 in. c.1900.

A small Qajar rose medallion dish, vividly enamelled with scattered blooms, flowers and butterflies in the Chinese manner. Diameter: 7 ¼ in. Iran, late nineteenth century.

The dish has the rim chips to which this type of Middle Eastern pottery is prone. No other damage. An interesting and now rare variation on the usual Chinese export style.

A heavy Indian cast and spun brass lota (waterpot) with a bulbous body and flaring neck, the straight lingam-yoni spout with a trefoil mount. Inscription on the lip, possibly giving name of the owner? Height: 9 1/2 in. (24.5 cm.). Probably Northern India. Moghul, 17th century. Fine condition.
