An Italian or Spanish burgundy velvet altar frontal embroidered with scrolling floral panels and vases of flowers. Framed dimensions: 85.5 x 238.0 cm. 16/17th cent.
Heavily worn. Large areas of the velvet were once appliqued in gold silk, now torn and fragmentary.

The lower edge of the dish has warped in the kiln and there is some chipping to the lower edge on the reverse (probably a kiln adhesion since the area is unglazed) showing a yellowish-pink body.
A blue and white English delft tile decorated with a house and mill by a stream within an octagonal dash border. Approx 4 ½ x 4 7/8 in. Probably Liverpool, third quarter 18th century.
A large Vienna porcelain saucer with finely burnished gilding decorated with a border of alternating tridents and halberds surrounding a ten-pointed star. Underglaze blue shield mark to the reverse with Pressnummer 59 and date code for 1806. Diameter: 7 3/8 in. Early 19th century.
