An Italian or Spanish burgundy velvet altar frontal embroidered with scrolling floral panels and vases of flowers. Framed dimensions: 85.5 x 238.0 cm. 16/17th cent.

Heavily worn. Large areas of the velvet were once appliqued in gold silk, now torn and fragmentary.

A large Puente del Arzobispo blue and white pottery dish decorated with a pattern of concentric rings. Diameter: 37.0 cm. 1750-1800.

Riveted. Rim chip to reverse.

A smaller very similar dish is illustrated in Ray, Spanish Pottery, p. 192 (No. 353).

An English delft blue and white plate decorated with a figure in a landscape in the manner of John Bowen. Diameter: 22.9 cm. Bristol, 18th cent..

Glaze losses to rim at lower right, slight lifting and cracking of glaze to the reverse. No other damage.

An octagonal Rouen faience blue and white platter. Width: 35.7 cm. 19th cent.

The lower edge of the dish has warped in the kiln and there is some chipping to the lower edge on the reverse (probably a kiln adhesion since the area is unglazed) showing a yellowish-pink body.

A large Vienna porcelain saucer with finely burnished gilding decorated with a border of alternating tridents and halberds surrounding a ten-pointed star. Underglaze blue shield mark to the reverse with Pressnummer 59 and date code for 1806. Diameter: 7 3/8 in. Early 19th century.
