A Cameroons (Duala) oblong stool carved in openwork with the word KAMERUN and on the reverse with a pair of confronting leopards. Dimensions: 20 ½ in. wide x 12 ¾ in. high x 9 ½ in. deep.

An unusual Chinese Imari bowl and cover decorated with chrysanthemum mons and scrolling lotus, a floral spray within a double circle inside the footrim. Diameter: 7 in. Kangxi (1662-1722).

A shouldered green Chinese monochrome vase covered all over with a finely crackled glaze. Neck reduced and mounted in silver. Height: 5 7/8 in. Qianlong (1736-95).

Some scratching to glaze. No other faults.

A turquoise and aubergine-glazed biscuit figure of a laughing boy holding a lotus leaf. Height: 4 5/8 in. Kangxi (1662-1722).

The head of the figure has been reattached – virtually invisibly- and there are a couple of tiny chips to the figure’s fingers.

A fine Chinese export famille rose dish enamelled with a literary scene of two ladies conversing on a terrace and a scholar playing the qin in his studio. Diameter: 9 ¾ in. Yongzheng (1723-35).

A 2 in. hairline crack at 11.00. No other damage.

An interesting pair of Japanese porcelain octagonal bowls or cups standing on a pedestal foot and decorated in underglaze blue with a landscape scene with watchtower. Arita, mid-19th cent. Height: 2 ½ in.; diameter: 4 3/8 in.

Perfect condition. This curious view seems to be related to a group of much earlier Arita export wares which show a similar watchtower structure in a design popularly known as “Deshima Island”.
