A good quality Japanese makie lacquer basin, on three low feet and decorated in hiramakie with scattered kiku blooms on a roironuri ground. Diameter: 6 7/8 in. c.1900.The basin has five small chips to the lacquer at the rim and the inevitable minor wear to the underside of the feet. No other damage.
