Sold 

A very attractive European saucer enamelled on copper with a pair of lovers dressed as shepherd and shepherdess in a rustic landscape with a herm and a bird being removed from its cage on a white ground within a gilt border. Marked to the reverse: NI Le: Fo: Lieb 1790. French, late eighteenth century. Diameter: 14 cm.

Stress cracks. No other damage.

A Staffordshire pottery flatback group entitled “Prince and Princess”. Height: 39.5 cm. 19th cent.

Some enamel losses to the Prince’s shoes, hair and cravat. Gilding rubbed. No other damages.

Sold 

A large French faience dish, the white ground decorated with the head of a man in courtly dress within a rope twist border, all done in yellow and blue enamels. Diameter: 41 cm. Probably Le Croisic, seventeenth/ eighteenth century.

The glaze is spalled at the rim especially at 5-6 and 2-3 o’clock. No other damage.

A Large Italian (?) faience dish with a lobed rim, decorated with sprays of roses in green enamel. Diameter: 36 cm. late 18th cent.

Two rim cracks: 9.5 and 7 cm. Another body or glaze crack to the interior of dish 13.5 cm. (see images). No further damage.

A Sevres-style ecuelle and cover decorated with floral reserves on a turquoise ground, the bowl with entwined handles and the domed cover surmounted by a laurel leaf and berry handle. Interlaced LL enclosing the letter K in blue enamel with the number 9 below. Footrim and rim of cover pierced. Incised mark DU to foot. Interlaced LL mark to interior of cover. An interesting scrimshaw carving, on a fragment of walrus tusk, of the USS Bear, the reverse with a rudimentary carving of a walrus. Length: 17.8 cm. late 19th/early 20th cent.

Surface somewhat polished and with discolouration and old damages.

An unusual Liverpool porcelain dish decorated in Chinese export style with a Chinese house, willow tree, etc. within a floral border. Width: 21.5 cm. Eighteenth century, c. 1770?.

Five small rim chips and another to the footrim, as shown. The dish has warped slightly in the kiln. No other damages.
