A German porcelain coffee can decorated with a stylised gilded border above a pale green ground. Underglaze blue A mark (for Ansbach?) to the base. Height: 2 3/8 in. Late eighteenth century? Rubbing to gilding at rim. No other damage.

A large French(?) faience dish decorated with floral motifs in sage green, ochre, blue and manganese. Diameter: 11 7/8 in. Painted mark to the reverse. 19th century. Slight rim chips revealing a pale reddish body. Could be South-West France? I have not been able to identify the mark.

An attractive Meissen porcelain scent bottle decorated with applied flowers. Blue crossed swords mark to the base and impressed number 9. Height: 3 3/8 in. Late 19th cent. A few of the – very vulnerable- flowerheads have chips to blooms and leaves- I count seven, though the stopper is intact and the overall impression still good. No damage to the body itself.

A blue and white English delft tile decorated with a house and mill by a stream within an octagonal dash border. Approx 4 ½ x 4 7/8 in. Probably Liverpool, third quarter 18th century. Minor glaze chips. No other damage.

A Westerwald stoneware tankard with bulbous body incised and decorated in bright cobalt, the reeded neck decorated in manganese. The cartouche, with sunburst surround, containing the letters GR between a crown and angel, and with the figure 4 under the handle. Height: 7 in. mid-18th cent. There is a fine crack in the base and another (evidently a production flaw) to the edge of the foot. No other faults.

A large Vienna porcelain saucer with finely burnished gilding decorated with a border of alternating tridents and halberds surrounding a ten-pointed star. Underglaze blue shield mark to the reverse with Pressnummer 59 and date code for 1806. Diameter: 7 3/8 in. Early 19th century. Perfect. An elegant design based on martial motifs typical of the period.

An ivory Memento Mori rosary bead, carved in the form of a skull. Height: 1 1/4 in. (3.0 cm.). German, 17/18 cent. Age cracks; no damage; good colour. The condition is exceptional. From a private collection.
