Nice colour and good condition. Locating marks on the edge indicate where the top and bottom halves marry.

A globular Indian brass hookah base cast with a repeating floral design. Height: 6 1/8 in.; diameter: 4 ¾ in. First half 18th cent.

The zinc inlay is almost entirely missing and there is an old lead repair within the foot.

A rare Indian alabaster figure of a seated European. Height: 4 1/8 in. 19th cent.

The figure is seated cross-legged in the Indian manner, but wears European dress apart from the cap or turban and shoes. He is presumably a merchant. The nose is chipped and the figure was clearly holding something in his right hand, which has now been lost. A large Tibetan/Himalayan singing bowl. Diameter: 8 7/8 in; height: 4 1/8 in.

There is wear to the centre of the base and some superficial corrosion to the interior, probably due to water. The fine, smoothly finished and hammered alloy is quite heavy and when struck the bowl has a deep bell-like tone.

A heavy Indian cast and spun brass lota (waterpot) with a bulbous body and flaring neck, the straight lingam-yoni spout with a trefoil mount. Inscription on the lip, possibly giving name of the owner? Height: 9 1/2 in. (24.5 cm.). Probably Northern India. Moghul, 17th century. Fine condition.

Zebrowski shows a group of related examples in Gold, Silver and Bronze from Moghul India.
