An attractive small Spanish Talavera polychrome dish decorated with a bird flapping its wings among trees decorated in vivid copper green and yellow. Diameter: 6 in. (across handles). Spanish, c. 1700.

A chip to one handle with an associated crack 1 ¼ in. long. No other damage.

An impressive Samson porcelain mask jug copying a Worcester original, the moulded body decorated with panels of Fancy Birds on an underglaze blue scale ground, thickly gilded, the neck garlanded with flowers and with a mask of a man with snowy beard. Underglaze blue square imitation Worcester mark to the base. Height: 8 ¼ in. c. late 19th cent.

The handle has been broken in three places. No other damage.

Sold 

A cylindrical Westerwald stoneware tankard decorated in cobalt with two confronting prancing horses and floral decoration, the pewter lid with touchmarks of a rampant lion to the interior. Height: 9 ¼ in. 2nd half 18th century.

The thumbpiece has begun to part slightly from the lid, though the join remains firm. No other faults.

An unusual delft octagonal dish, probably Irish and decorated with an oriental design of peonies, bamboo and rocks with four floral sprays at the rim, the reverse with sketchy floral decoration. Length: 9 ½ in. c.1760.

Minor glaze losses at rim. No other damage.

A fluted Worcester famille rose coffee cup decorated with scattered floral sprays. Base with underglaze blue square mark. Height: 2 ¼ in. c. 1770.

A Paris porcelain covered cup and saucer of neoclassical form enamelled with the “Angouleme sprig” pattern. Height of cup: 4 in.; diameter of saucer: 5 3/8 in. Stencilled red mark for Dihl & Guerhard, early 19th cent.

The finial has been carefully reglued. No other damage.
