A pair of Staffordshire flatback figures of a man and woman picking flowers. Height: 10 ¼ in and 11 3/8 in. c. mid-19th century.

The female figure is in good condition with only an inconspicuous chip to her right hand, but the man is a bit of a wreck, with badly repaired breaks at neck, left elbow and right foot.

A Staffordshire pottery figure of a greyhound facing left, with a hare in its mouth. Height: 7 5/8 in. 19th century.

One of the dog’s back legs is ringed by a fine hairline but there is no damage or restoration.

An unusual Vienna, Sorgenthal porcelain coffee can and saucer, possibly matched. The saucer with a curious rebus-type design featuring the alphabet in gilt on a dark-blue ground (the letter J omitted) and a central reserve with the inscription “ Mon Nom S’Y Trouve”. The can with a design of roses and forget-me-nots below a gilt border. A Vienna porcelain chocolate cup, lid and saucer of neo-classical form, decorated with a frieze of vine-leaves in indigo on a black ground and moulded with a head of Bacchus within the handle. An unusual tin-glazed European faience dish decorated with a central cartouche of a lady in silhouette surrounded by floral motifs. Diameter: 8 ¾ in. Late 18th century.
