A Meissen Dot Period Coffee Cup decorated with puce camaieu floral enamelling and a gilded rim. Underglaze blue crossed swords mark within the footrim. Height: 2 1/8 in.; mid-18th century.

There is a tiny chip to the terminal of the handle, however the fact that this has been partially gilded over suggests it was probably a flaw of manufacture. No other damage.

A cylindrical Westerwald stoneware tankard decorated in cobalt with two confronting prancing horses and floral decoration, the pewter lid with touchmarks of a rampant lion to the interior. Height: 9 ¼ in. 2nd half 18th century.

The thumbpiece has begun to part slightly from the lid, though the join remains firm. No other faults.

A rare early Meissen Bottger Hausmaler teabowl decorated in enamels with a robed figure with a walking stick in a Chinese-style landscape, the rim with arcaded gilt decoration. Diameter: 2 7/8 in. Unmarked, 1720s.

A Meissen chinoiserie teabowl finely enamelled with cartouches of a Chinese-style figure before an altar surrounded by gilt and iron-red tracery, the interior with floral enamelling below a spearhead border. Diameter: 2 ¾ in. Unmarked, c. 1725.

Badly nibbled on one side, with an adjacent 1 in. hairline. Beautifully enamelled, the body much glassier, thinner and more refined than the other two teabowls listed.

A small Westerwald GR jug of 6 capacity, with a reeded manganese neck, the petalled medallion crisply moulded and flanked by scrolling cobalt blue floral decoration. Height: 6 ¼ in. 18th century.

There is a very fine hairline at the neck, 2 in. long. Otherwise excellent condition.

An unusual Vienna, Sorgenthal porcelain coffee can and saucer, possibly matched. The saucer with a curious rebus-type design featuring the alphabet in gilt on a dark-blue ground (the letter J omitted) and a central reserve with the inscription “ Mon Nom S’Y Trouve”. The can with a design of roses and forget-me-nots below a gilt border.
