A large and rare Apache coiled pictorial basket woven with a design of men and animals in a diamond pattern. Diameter: 17 ½ in; height 9 ½ in. Late 19th/early 20th cent.
The basket is woven on a three-rod foundation and is consequently quite sturdy despite the extensive damage to the rim.
A conical Native American basket decorated with a woven bird design below a stylised wave border. Height: 11 ½ in.; diameter: 14 ¾ in. Southwestern U.S. Probably early-mid 20th cent.
The basket is complete and in good order apart from the rim which has some areas of loss and wear as shown.
Four fine Woodlands Indian beadwork panels with floral decoration. Late 19th century. The larger pair: 6 x 4 1/4 in., the smaller 5 x 2 3.4 in. and backed onto birchbark. Finely worked and in excellent condition.
A small fragment of Woodlands beadwork, probably the strap of a bandolier bag, decorated with blue, green, red, pink, yellow and white glass beads with a geometric pattern of crosses and Xs. Length: 10 ¾ in. Mid-late 19th cent, probably Chippewa/Ojibwa.
Good condition as shown. Colours slightly brighter than the photo.
