A Tibetan wooden stele of the fearsome Dharma Protector Penden Lhamo (Shri Devi), seated side-saddle on her mule, holding a vajra-topped mace in her right hand and a skull-cup (kalasa) filled with blood in her left as she is carried across a sea of blood against the background of her flaming halo. In her hair she wears a peacock-feather umbrella, on her head a five-skull crown and in her ears one snake and one lion-head earring. Her breasts are pendulous and at her navel is a sun disc. A rare Goanese ivory figure base carved with the Magdalen reading in a niche flanked by leopards(?) and sheep. Traces of red, white, yellow and green pigment. Height: 4 in. A Himalayan bronze figure of eleven-headed eight-armed Avalokitesvara standing on a lotus base and stepped plinth with primary hands in namaskara mudra and the others holding various attributes. Height: 6 in. 19th cent. Base nicely worn. traces of old pigment in the detail of the casting. No damage.

An attractive Indian ivory miniature, mounted as a brooch depicting an elaborate coach drawn by two elephants. Engraved silver mount, not hallmarked. Width: 1 ½ in.; c.1900. A few tiny dings to the silver mount and the pin slightly bent at one end, but still serviceable. No other damage.

A Tibetan gilt copper base for a Buddha or similar figure, cast with lotus petals and containing a large number of prayer scrolls. Height: 2 7/8 in.; width 6 ¾ in. c. 18th century?, maybe earlier. The base was evidently plundered for the jewels that these figures sometimes contain, but for once the scrolls have been preserved intact.
