A Japanese lacquer dish decorated in hiramakie with a central motif of a crane in flight surrounded by an elaborate feathered border on a brown lacquer ground. Diameter: 8 ¼ in. Zohiko elephant mark to the reverse. Probably 20th cent. Excellent surface and condition. One small area of cracking/lifting to the rim at the reverse only. |
