A set of six moulded blue and white Hirado lobed dishes decorated in underglaze blue with a pair of carp. Diameter: 8 ¼ in. c.1900. One of the dishes has lost a lobe and there is a short and inconspicuous hairline on two other dishes (one possibly caused in the firing). A few specks of kiln grit and minor firing flaws. No other damage. |
