A cylindrical Westerwald stoneware tankard decorated in cobalt with two confronting prancing horses and floral decoration, the pewter lid with touchmarks of a rampant lion to the interior. Height: 9 ¼ in. 2nd half 18th century. The thumbpiece has begun to part slightly from the lid, though the join remains firm. No other faults. |
