A delightful little vase, minutely worked in silver wire but with several damages and therefore offered without reserve. Bruise to reverse with associated stress cracks. Small bruise to shoulder. Fine ½ in. stress crack slightly to the left and below the small right hand bird- this is only visible when very closely examined. The base (without a plate) also seems rather strange to me and I suspect it may have been removed because it had a signature (Hayashi?) which could be applied to another piece.
