A Chinese overlay glass snuff bottle, the body carved with a translucent floral design on a bubble-suffused ground. Green glass stopper. Height: 2 3/8 in. Probably late 19th cent. Chip to one leaf (see detail). The solid glass stopper has cracks though it has no inclination to dislodge- possibly a feature of production. |
