China Coast Couture presents a very finely embroidered silk on black cotton long jacket from Songjiang, China. Several techniques were used including highly detailed seed and chain stitch, appliqued braid stitch and reverse applique. This is a long jacket with side closure. China Coast Couture offers a silk thread on black cotton and "leathered" cotton short jacket, embellished in several techniques, including elaborate and detailed cross stitch, chain stitch and applique, showing floral, geometric and snail design motifs. China Coast Couture offers a Dong tribal gown from Guizhou Province, China. This is a silk thread embroidery depicting dragons together with pearl, flame, lingxi, scroll and keyfret motifs, on a black cotton fabric that has been "leathered" (treated with certain coatings and beaten) to make it water repellant and to give it a shiny surface.
