Really beautiful vintage Victoria Pin c. 1940's - 1950's. From a period in Taxco where superb design and craftsmanship was at it's peak. Here is a 1 7/8" in diameter pierced and domed flower pin that has an elegant scalloped frame. Cool Mid Century Mod Sterling Ring with a scuptural design. Three Balls on a platform are at the ring's center with a raised U acting as a funky frame. Ring is Italian? in origin- not sure... Shank has brushed texture and measures approx. a size 7- very comfy on. Front measures approx. 1" H x 5/8" W. There is a diamond shaped hallmark and within that a stamp of 925. Excellent Vintage condition! A wonderful MOD ring sure to make a great addition to any Modernist or Retro collection!

Here is a gorgeous pin by Jewelry designer and silversmith Miye Matsukata (1922-1981)who was born in Tokyo, Japan. Matsukata who attended the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston and was awarded by the school travelling scholarships to both Scandanavia and Egypt. She opened her store, Janiye`, on Newbury Street in 1950 and continued to work there until her death in 1981. Sweet Victorian Enameled Silver Coin Stickpin of a seated Warrior holding his Trident and Shield. Coin measures 5/8" in diameter and is solid silver. Stickpin on back is soft soldered to British Coin depicting Victoria. Enamel is very colorful and in excellent condition. Pin measures 2 1/8" in L and comes with clutch stopper.
