Since 1986 Mexican born designer Victor Carranza has created seven lines as an invited designer at Tiffany & Co. (Google search for more info. on this fantastic designer.) Here is a gorgeous pin by Jewelry designer and silversmith Miye Matsukata (1922-1981)who was born in Tokyo, Japan. Matsukata who attended the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston and was awarded by the school travelling scholarships to both Scandanavia and Egypt. She opened her store, Janiye`, on Newbury Street in 1950 and continued to work there until her death in 1981. A wonderful early example of modernist silver by Mid Century Boston Designer John Lewis. Since 1955 John Lewis has been creating unusual organic jewelry. Recently I purchased it from it's original owner who wore it c. 1970's. Ring is a depiction of a piece textured Coral. Organic, sculptural, and really striking on. Front measures 13/16" W x 1 1/8" H. Fresh from a local New England estate... Here is a beautiful pair of Vintage Tiffany & Co Sterling Silver X or Kiss earrings designed by Paloma Picasso. Really distinctive design and elegance. Really sensual vintage Sterling Silver Ring by Louisianna designer Mignon Faget. Google her for more info. Her early work especially is quite wonderful! Here is an unusual pair of earrings by Danish designer Hans Hansen. I have had many earrings from this line but never this particular design. Unbelievable to think these were created 50 years ago. Really striking thick gauge wire shaped with an atomic flair. The earrings are screwbacks, have slightly concave silver tops, and measure 2 3/4" H x 5/8" W. Here is a fun Estate offering for any athlete! A vintage Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver Key Chain of Sneakers! Clever design with thick rubber loop and screw on fastener disappearing within the back of one sneaker. Sneakers measure 1 1/4" L x 1" W and add 2" for rubber key loop.
