| Thomas Mann's designs are self described as "jewelry objects". His designs are sculptural and distinctive combining plastics and metals to form unique compositions. This neck piece or bolo has as its focus a stylized torso of a woman. It is one of Mann's very early pieces c. 1970-1980. The torso measures 2 1/2" long by 1 1/2" wide and glides up and down its braided black leather cord. Two mixed metal end caps measuring 1 3/4" long, dangle at the bottom. Laying flat out on my ruler the entire neck piece measures 18 1/2" long. Marked on the reverse of the torso with an early Thomas Mann hallmark, Handwrought, and a hand signature, "Mann". A rare opportunity to own one of Thomas Mann's earliest works. | ||
