| Really beautiful Gothic Cross c. 1930. from Italy. This gem is ornately etched with flowers and leaves and measures 2 3/4" H (includes bail) x 2" W. It has that distinctive medieval refernce that was so evident in this type of Italian jewelry. It probably originally had a chain that had a maker's mark, possibly Peruzzi or Cini, but the only mark I could find is on the back, 800, for the silver content. Save for a good cleaning which I will leave to the next owner's discretion, the cross is in excellent all original condition. Just need a silver chain or silk cord and you are set to go! Very en vogue though it was made 70+ years ago! A wonderful period Cross that will definitely make a statement! | ||
