| Very early primitive bug pin with a great look! It is signed on the reverse STERLING with the initials JP but I don't know who that is. Could be early Mexican, could be early Native American...I am not sure. Beautiful Turquoise Cabochon Stone, its pattern is made more interesting by its brown matrix. Eyes appear to be copper. Fun tisted wire antennae. I have not touched the critter which I bought from a Boston Estate this past summer. Was planning on keeping him longer but I decided he needs a new home. Maybe south for the Winter? This bug has loads of personality, has beautiful tool work and measures 2 1/4" L x 1 1/2" W. As for a polish I will leave that to the next owner. Insect is in fine condition, some soldering on back, looks old, old catch missing center ring, but still holds well. A fabulous signed primitive insect pin with Turquoise! She will treasure this one! | ||
