Dated 1888 and clearly marked as issued to the 126th Jaeger Battalion, this pair of rare and desirable Imperial German cartridge boxes are in very good condition. The leather closure tabs are not broken and the interior dividers are complete and undamaged. The stitching on both box lids is tight and complete. One box is slightly more scuffed on the exterior but both have the original finish and have not been colored with shoe polish. A great addition to any Gew. 88 collection.

From The Hijaz region of the Arabic Peninsula, a large, very well crafted Jambiya. The hilt and upper scabbard is adorned in silver and as is the tradition the lower in brass which has a rich, undisturbed patina.. A very unusual German Cigarette Case in that it is not trench art but commercially made and according to the date stamped on the drum faces in the motif, produced after WW!. Unusual in the sense that the Imperial family was in disgrace in the eyes of the German people for having lost the war. Marked Ca 1915, with a broad arrow flanked by an I and M, this British Cavalry bit is a desirable addition to any WW1 collection. The bit is smooth on the top and ridged on the underside. The cheeks are in very good condition with patina and only minor dark spots with a few small areas of light pitting and well marked as described. Should clean nicely. The bit is 6,25" and the cheeks 7.25".

Rare to find a piece of Soviet era trench art but to find a cigarette case with it's original lighter is extremely rare. The designs on the aluminum cigarette case are both patriotic as well as romantic. The upper left corner bears a likeness of the Order of the Patriotic War and bears the dates 1941-1944. A good example of the Japanese M1899 Saber for Army NCOs and Superior Privates as well as NCOs of the Kempi (Military Police). Steel hilted with both the back strap and wood grip checkered. The steel scabbard has a protruding lug on one side which engages the spring clip on the hilt. The metal of both the hilt and scabbard are blackened with blue beneath the black.
