| A fine quality sterling silver vinaigrette by Thomas Shaw, Caroline Street Birmingham. Rectangular box is bright cut on all sides with well formed, rolled edges. The grill and interior are gold gilt and both the lid and bottom bear the George IV head, Lion Passant, Initials of Thomas Shaw and the date code 1837 The ornate grill is of the finest quality, punched and tooled to simulate patterned wire work. The gold gilt interior shows slight abrasion and wear from use and age. Accompanied by the original sponge. In excellent condition. | |||||||
