Vue d'une Ancienne Abbaye Staffordshire historical plate by Enoch Wood. Circa 1825. This pearlware plate is decorated in a dark blue transfer and is from the "French series." It has a grape vine border and bears on the back the pottery's factory impressed mark WOOD as well as the pattern name in an underglaze blue stamp. Size: 9" diameter. Condition: Very good with a couple of very small pin sized flecks to the glaze and some fine crazing.

Continental singing bird-in-cage automaton. Circa. 1900. Probably French or Swiss. Bird fashioned from real feathers, with glass eyes, and on a brass perch. Key-wind mechanism inside base of cage causes bird to sing various bird songs, while moving beak and turning head. Some loss to bird’s feathers. Musical movement is operational but sometimes hesitates, requiring a slight titling action to restore it, so probably requires some adjustment. Size: 12.5” ht.

Rare Gorham Arts & Crafts sterling silver sauce gravy ladle in a hammered surface and with mixed metals design on the handle of two cherries, leaf and twig in bronze, and with a second leaf in gilded silver. Circa 1885. Excellent condition. Marks: stamped with the Gorham logo (lion, anchor, G) "sterling & other metals", and with the name of the retailer George H. Ford. Size: 6" length.

An unusual majolica pottery basket with a molded woven wicker design to the exterior, Greek key variant border, and ribbon wrapped bamboo form handle. The pink interior with some crazing to the glaze. Unmarked. Condition: Excellent with no chips, cracks, or repairs; only some crazing to the glaze. German K.P.M. painting on porcelain plaque, known as "Good Night Linette," depicting a young woman wearing a cap shielding the flame of a candle. Late 19th century. Bearing on the reverse the KPM factory marks, with scepter, as well as various markings in pencil including the title Linette. Excellent condition with no cracks or repairs, just a minor scratch on one arm. Size: 9 1/4 inches x 6 3/8 inches. Offered in a modern frame.
