A rare amethyst cut-to clear oil lamp by Boston and Sandwich Glass Company. Mid 19th century. The blown amethyst glass pear form font is cut with bulls eye and loop decoration, and is joined by a glass wafer to a fluted and tapered brass columnar stem, affixed to a square double stepped white marble base with brass accent frieze. Offered in its original condition with no damage or repairs. Size: 10 7/8 inches height x 5 inches diameter font.
