Swiss music box in an inlaid rosewood case with hinged lid and internal glass dust cover; the movement with a 6" brass cylinder playing four Scottish songs on a steel comb. Made in Geneva in the late 19th century. Tunes include: The Blind Girl to her Harp, Bonnie Doon, The Blue Bells of Scotland, and Old Bob Ridley. A scarce set of five Irish sterling silver forks, by silversmith Peter Weeks, and each bearing hallmarks for Dublin in 1842-1843. Fashioned in the fiddle pattern, and each with a matching, engraved on the handle with a family crest of an arm dexter, bent and holding a dagger. Very good condition with some wear to the tines. Clear, legible hall marks. Length: 7.75 inches. Weight: 12.1 troy ounces.

Large size Gaudy Welsh earthenware mug, decorated in an Imari palette with pearlware glaze. English. Circa 1820s-30s. The mug is of an unusual waisted form with incurving sides and with a foliate handle. Unmarked. Condition: Crazing and light staining, tight half inch hairline at rim (see photo detail) No chips or restoration. Size: 4" ht. x 5.5"across handle x 3 7/8" diameter.
