Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) designed Picador cupel or small bowl sculpture, manufactured at the Madoura Pottery of Vallauris, France. Circa 1954. Edition of 100. Ceramic with green and black oxidized paraffin decoration of a Picador with lance astride his horse. The bull fighting theme was a favorite of Picasso and reminded him of his Spanish heritage.
