| Reliquary head of typical style. At the bottom side of the neck, the piece seems to have been torn away from what originally must have been the lid of the reliquary box. Wood, thick dark patina, oily on the face itself. A collection number is inscribed on the lower back of the neck. Africa, Gabon, Fang Peoples. Height: 9 1/2" (23cm). The piece is mounted on a custom wood stand. Good condition. | |||||||||
