CHINESE WOODEN SHOP SIGNS. Pair of wood signs, each 24" long (to the ends of the handles, which are 12" long), 16" wide, 1 1/2" deep, the two pierced designs differing widely (though the obverse and reverse of each are broadly similar), black-lacquered (the face of each) and red-lacquered (where each is pierced, that is, on edge), each detachable handle's peg end inserted in a shallow drilled hole (a similar hole on the opposite (long) edge of each sign). QING DYNASTY GLASS STATUE. Molded glass figure, 10 1/2" high (inclusive of base), 2 1/2" wide (figure; 4 1/2" wide at foot of base), 1 5/8" deep (figure; 3" deep at foot of base), the clear (uncolored), translucent glass with misty white inclusions to the figure's lower third, an engraved, silver-colored, metal band encircling the figure where it joins the base, which is modeled as a faceted, rocky outcrop.
