| ITALIAN HANGING LAMP. Glass lamp, 13 1/2" high, 11" diameter (maximum, 2 1/2" diameter at the top), the short foot flaring sharply to the bulbous midsection which tapers gradually as it rises, cylindrical upper portion, the eight strips of light-brown glass widening as they descend, the center of the flat top with a half-inch diameter hole (as manufactured), a four-inch diameter opening at the base, the interior of the lamp hollow, the glass approximately 3/16" thick. This lamp is intended to be suspended from a ceiling via a long cord; neither cord nor interior attachment is present. Fine condition. The lamp is Italian, probably Venini, 1950s or 1960s. | |||||
