An interesting round bamboo box in a tiered design, the bottom extends to match the lid; lacquered multi-colored design creates beautiful contrasts. There are two Chinese opera figures painted on the top of the lid, one on each side of a yin-yang pattern in the center.
Beside of some age wear; it is in an excellent condition.
A lovely, well-carved wood (possibly catalpa) toggle in the form of leaf with a spider lay on top. Spider is one of the auspicious symbols in the Chinese culture. When spider together with leaf, the hidden meaning of this scene in Chinese culture is ‘Kai Zhi San Ye’ which means ‘May you have numerous descendants’, it could applied to family and business as well.

A very rare Tibetain ritual instrument named dorje. Dorje means "thunderbolt" and it symbolized indestructible and represents masculine. It has the power to cut through illusions and exorcise negative energies. Extremely powerful ritual tools used most often by Tibetan lamas. The top part is made of Blackwood (Hongmu), while the base and the support were both made of Linden wood (Duanmu). The Linden part has a cover with burgundy lacquer. It is in great condition besides some age ware.
