A sliver tray made for the export market with the Sing Fat hallmark. Sing Fat is one of famous silver company making silver for export market located in Canton (Now Guangzhou) and Hong Kong between mid 19th – early 20th Century. The four side frames rims are decorated with an open work design of bamboo and plum trees. The interior panel is carved with a scene depicting the dragon boat competitions that takes place in the Chinese lunar calendar month of 5th of May every year (this year is May 29, 2009).
