A solid mahogany miniature breakfront, or server, made as a salesman's sample, or a jewelry box or for use in a doll house. Many of these miniature cabinets were made in this scale were to be jewelry cases, kept on the ladies' bureau. Drawers work and the condition of this very unusual antique is excellent and of high quality. The condition is very good, although one of the turned wood drawer pulls is replaced. A petrified or fossilized mammoth, mastodon or elephant tooth formation. This specimen apparently has the entire tooth structure, including the roots. Some cracking and minor losses of the tooth enamel. Almost 12" long.
A hand painted ostrich egg, about 6" in height and empty. This was hand painted probably during the Victorian era, with budding orchids. Since this is hollowed out, there is a small hole at one end, about 1/4" round.
