A 19th century 3 3/4" high etch glass Continental monteith for two small wine glasses. This is a bowl used for the cooling wine glasses, the rim having depressions for resting the wine glass stems so the bowl of the glass dips into ice-water. Monteiths, a name immortalizes by its inventor, are often afforded great values as collectibles.
A handsome glass ice or champagne bucket, 10" in height and opening to 8" diameter on top, with attached circular handles. We bought this for the crystalline clear glass purity of design, but the photo gives the glass a brownish color which is not deserved. This may be due to the brown surroundings.
