An especially fine silk and linen sampler by Sara Ann Blake dated 1817 with flowers, bouquets, deer, and birds. This has been removed from its original frame and conserved and then replaced. Many times we overlook the verse: " Next unto GOD dear parents I address/ Myself to you in humble thankfulness/ For all your care and charge on me bestow'd/ The means of learning unto me allow'd/ Go on dear friends and may I safe obtain/ A lasting treasure which is more than gain".

An American sampler showing animals, a house, trees, and even a tea kettle, with the alphabet. Dated 1862. The condition is not perfect; some of the stitching (the house's roof)is gone. A serrated-like border is hidden in the old gilt frame. In as found condition we describe as fair. Site is 12" X 8 1/2" and the frame make 13" X 10" RL*

Pair of beaded Native American moccasins. These came with an attached label reading "Very rare Crow Moccasins from Montana in beautiful condition with olive coloring, circa 1860". Although this date may be correct, we find that many Native American artifacts are estimated as older than they are. The beads are in geometric patterns of green, pink, white, dark blue and yellow. In very good condition, although with slight soiling that indicates they were once worn. RL*
