A rare find, Hank would now be collecting Social Security as he is marked 43 and according to books that's when he was made. Hank stands 7" tall and has the original label. As all old man he's not perfect, you can see the repair on his neck (photo is X 10)chip on the bottom that can't be seen unless you pick the little fellow up. Heck the label alone is worth ???????

Japanese Imperial Army urushi sake cup with Imperial rural soldier association mark on the front. This cup is made of wood and has a very nice URUSHI (lacquer) work on it. The back writing reads TEIKOKU ZAIGO GUNJINKAI (imperial rural soldier association), SHUTAKUMURA (the name of a village), BUNKAI (a branch). Measures just over 3.5 inches in diameter. CONDITION: Excellent, no chips or cracks

The soldier's name is on the very bottom, his name is Shimaki-san. Measures about 2.25 inches in diameter CONDITION: Excellent. No chips or cracks.
