A mid 18th century English Georgian dram glass dating to C1750. A heavy three piece glass with a thick walled deceptive round funnel bowl over a plain stem and a thick firing type foot with rough pontil. Lead glass and in good original condition with wear appropriate to age and use. Height: 3 Ύ” Rim: 1 7/8” Foot: 2 3/8” Of note is the tooled measure mark to the inner bowl of this glass just below the rim; which together with the solid construction confirms its tavern use.

An English Georgian dram glass dating to late in the 18th century. A petal moulded bowl; with the moulding continuing and forming a twisted incised effect to the drawn stem. A basal cyst to the stem before the conical foot with rough pontil. Height: 4” Rim: 2” Foot: Just over 2 1/8” Super condition; a good little glass.

A beautifully engraved tumbler dating to C1740 and originating from the Silesian area of what was then Bohemia. Made from fine quality soda glass the tumbler has a slightly everted form and is covered in engraving of the highest quality; befitting its area of origin. There are two each of the two types of engraved fields; a zig-zag design surmounted by a basket of flowers and a curtain like scrolled field. English lead glass and in great condition; lovely bright metal. The stem is mounted on the foot a little inaccurately causing a ‘lean’; as you can see though, the glass displays well. An English Georgian goblet dating to C1770. A capacious ovoid bowl period engraved with: hops and barley and associated foliage, ‘M’ over ‘R * I’ or ‘R * E’ and a Ho Ho bird. A drawn plain stem and then a broad conical foot with rough pontil. Lead glass and perfect. Height: 6 Ό” Rim: 3 Ό” Foot: 3 Ύ” The hops and barley motif naturally indicate that this glass was used for drinking ale; and in that regard it is unusual in this form. An English Georgian balustroid gin glass dating to C1740. A highly striated bell bowl over a balustroid stem with shoulder and basal knop; over a conical folded foot with rough pontil. Dark lead glass and in original condition. Height: 4 Ό” Rim: 1 5/8” Foot: Just over 2” A cute little glass, as produced some 270 years ago; but probably on a Friday! An English Georgian cylinder or Nelson decanter dating to C1820-25. The decanter has three annulated neck rings over shoulder flutes; the main decoration comprising alternate pillar flutes and fields of fine cut diamonds between V cut borders. Fine basal comb flutes complete the decoration; a polished pontil to the base. Fitted with an apparently original cut mushroom stopper.
