| An English Georgian heavy baluster goblet dating to C1720. A lipped bucket bowl above a stem comprising a plain section and then a ‘teared’ inverted baluster over a strong basal knop with small tear. A wide conical folded foot with rough pontil. Height: Just over 6 ¼” Rim: Just under 3 ¼” Foot: 3 1/16” Bowl capacity: 6 1/4 fl oz. This superb goblet is produced from the finest lead metal with the slightest of tints and is well constructed and beautifully proportioned. It sits well and is heavy in the hand and is suitable for the discerning collector who likes to use his glasses occasionally. | ||
