Description: A unique kettle of Northern Song Dynasty was applied with single black glaze. Intriguingly molded shape with skin liked glaze, the kettle stands by its splayed and well-shaped foot ring. Dark glaze being neatly trimmed to the lower half of the belly, the full ovoid body showed its original gray clay beneath. Dust-like incursions were obvious all over the surface when the glaze reflection was introspective and charming. Northern Song Dynasty(10th-11th century). Height: 3 1/4in.

A beautifully 13th Century glazed tripod censer with an excellent dark green glaze. The typical shape is pulling away at the inside and outside edges of the mouth rim in precise circular rings emphasizing the well-proportioned form and revealing the dark porcelain body beneath. A Chinese nephrite jade carved as a seated dog turning his head. The stone is gray with slight green tinge and is very well carved and tactile. Size: approx. 1 3/4 inches long and 1 1/4 inches high. Good condition. Age: C. 1900 if not earlier.
