| One rare lamp to survive this long with most Handel oil shades showing up almost always without their base. However in this one we have a matching base and shade in fine opaline glass with no chips or cracks and only very light wear to the obverse painted surface. Lamp shade is signed Handel and numbered 1042 (see picture). The hand painting is superb and very colorful. The Oil lamp has been converted to electric long ago adding a turn switch to the base bottom. As you may know Handel lamps are steal at a price under $1000 so don't let this rare lamp get away. | |
