Long early Navajo silver turquoise concho belt, 20s/30s
Vintage Navajo silver concho belt w/natural turquoise. 1920s/30s. Unmarked. Made of coin silver or higher.

This fabulous concho belt is made of hand forged silverwork and includes a decoratively stamped and repoussed belt buckle set with 4 pear shaped natural turquoise stones, all about 11mm x 8mm in size; 11 conchos set with a single 5-6mm stone; plus 6 additional pieces of pre-1940 silverwork (4 are buttons).
The threaded belt is 5/8" wide and the old distressed heavy leather backing is 2.5" wide and embossed with a makers mark "Russian Shell # 164" . The silver is indicative of good wear and a couple of the concho set stones have some old well healed cracks. Excellent vintage condition.

Buckle: 2 7/8" x 2 1/4"
Conchos: 2" x 1 5/8"
Leather backing: 2.5" wide, 47 1/4" long, not including the tip end of the threaded belt.
It weights just shy of 1 lb
