| Lovely handpainted Russian black lacquer box. Approximately 1" tall 3 3/4" deep and 4 3/4" long. The painting of two masked sailing ships sailing on calm waters with a mountain range and a wonderful sunset in the distance. The box is artist signed and dated. The artist signature appears to be C. Fenocknno and is dated 2000. I was informed me that Fedoskino is one of the four main villages for russian lacquer boxes. So it is possible that it was made there. It also has the place of the the painting wich appears to be Monohnnio. Very Good condition. | ||||||||
