| Wonderful bronze limited edition plaque of horses by California artist Mehl Lawson, b.1942. It is titled "Winter Quarters". Approximately 12" x 10 1/2" WITH the frame. WITHOUT the wooden frame that it is mounted on it measures 11 1/4" x 10". Incised on the left side is the c with the circle for copyright, 4/50, Mehl Lawson -82-. The bottom is incised "Heritage Bronze Inc. On the right side it is incised "Winter Quarters". This is number 4 of 50 that were made. Lawson has won numerous awards, including the Remington Award at the Prix de West Show at the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He also won the Thomas Moran Award at the Masters of the American West Show at the Autry Museum in Los Angeles, California. Very good condition. | |||||||||||||||
