| Wonderful oil painting on canvas by Austrian artist, Andreas Marko, 1824-1895. Approximately 46 1/2" x 41" WITH the frame. WITHOUT the frame it measures 33" x 27". Signed lower right "And. Marko 1878". He is listed in Benezit. He was a landscape artist who lived in Florence for some time. He became a professor at the Academy of this city. He was very well known for his European pastoral scenes. Very good condition. I did blacklight this painting and could not see any restoration. Very minor rippling in right top corner as shown in photo. Some very light craquelure in the mountains but I would still consider this painting to be in excellent condition. The frame is in very good condition. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipment. | |||||||||||||||
