| Finely executed oil painting on board by Dutch artist, Jacob Van Dieghem. c.19th century. Approximately 6 1/2" x 9 1/2" WITHOUT the frame. WITH the frame it measures 12" x 15 1/4". The frame is new but looks very nice as you can see from the photo. Signed lower right "Jb.Van Dieghem". The painting depicts a pastoral scene with 3 sheep, mother and 2 young lying on the hill. There is a large sheep in the background looking away and a dog to the left of him next to the brush. Jacob Van Dieghem was a popular 19th century landscape artist. He was well known for his farm animals and poultry. Very good condition. Scattered retouching. | ||||||||||
