| Beautiful floral still life painting by John C. Hare, American 1908-1978. Approximately 21" x 27" WITHOUT the frame. WITH the frame it measures 25" x 31". Signed lower right, John C. Hare. This beautiful watercolor is a still life of wild roses in a vase with a draped background. John Cuthbert Hare was known for his paintings of boats, seascapes and harbor scenes. He was primarily associated with New England, especially Cape Cod, Massachusetts where he spent his summers from 1938 to 1965. In 1967 he moved to Yarmouthport Ma and also painted in Gloucester. There is a tag on the back from The Home Beautiful Shop in Allston MA. Very good condition. | ||||||||||||
