An interesting and rare mid 19th. century wooden tobacconist's shop sign. It is carved with a seated Chinaman smoking a pipe and has original paint to his clothes and face. The edge is carved as a rope twist and the outside rim has a brass band. There is a hole in the wood to the top left as can be seen in the photograph. It measures 19 ins. by 12 ins.

A spectacular early 19th. century Flemish Table Cabinet or Strong Box. It is made of walnut with ebonised wood carving and turned columns. The front has a scene of two armoured knights fighting, made from gilt brass and pewter inlaid into tortoishell and flanked by double columns of turned ivory. One end of the cabinet can be pulled out to reveal a secret compartment and the top of the lid can be slid aside to reveal another. A miniature turned Bone Chess set wih unstained and red stained pieces. It is complete and in good condition but with some dicolouring to some of the pieces. It dates from c.1890 and the kings are 5 1/2 cms. and the pawns, 2 1/2 cms.
